Raзgovoriшte
One author. One book. One weekend. Literature from the region.
The format
Several times a year, a single work gets an entire weekend. Friday is arrival and threshold. Saturday, the centre. Sunday, resonance. Three to five people stay with the author in the same house. They eat together, sit by the fire, share morning coffee, walk the same paths. This changes the conditions of conversation.
The public event on Saturday takes place at Zvjezdane Staze or in the šadrvan of Ibrišimović agro-tourism: a traditional Bosnian gathering room with carpets, wooden seating, and a fireplace. About thirty seats. In good weather, the doors open to the garden, and the room becomes permeable. Inside and outside meet, the way text and surroundings meet.
Why this format
Reading is a solitary act. The questions it raises belong in the world. They need time, warmth, and the ordinary intervals: the silence after a sentence, the return to it later while doing the dishes, a glance at a hillside that colours a passage differently.
A shared weekend opens something a single evening cannot. Those who live in the same house, eat together, and walk the same paths share a small infrastructure of daily life. Proximity changes conversation and the nature of understanding. Exchange becomes shared attention, slowly gathering weight.
The selection follows a curatorial line: memory, regional context, ethics, existence, the hypothetical. Before the weekend, guests receive the book. The conversation begins in the solitary work of reading beforehand and continues on site, as if the text had found a second setting. The place reads along.

For guests
Up to five guests stay in the house over the weekend, Friday evening through Sunday morning. Sleeping is solo or shared by arrangement within the group. Children stay free.
The contribution covers the author's honorarium, food and drink across the weekend, and logistics. It works on a sliding scale, agreed at registration: those who can give more open the door for those who cannot. Write to info@zvjezdanestaze.ba.
The Saturday reading is open and free, registration requested (about thirty seats).
Lodging in the village outside the house can be arranged on request, though capacity is modest (around fifteen beds across the village).
